RE: What DnD character am I?
True Neutral Halfling Bard (2nd Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 13
    Dexterity- 14
    Constitution- 14
    Intelligence- 13
    Wisdom- 11
    Charisma- 10

    Alignment:
True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

    Race:
Halflings are clever, capable and resourceful survivors. They are notoriously curious and show a daring that many larger people can't match. They can be lured by wealth but tend to spend rather than hoard. They prefer practical clothing and would rather wear a comfortable shirt than jewelry. Halflings stand about 3 feet tall and commonly live to see 150.

    Class:
Bards- Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells.

"Viruses have taken over the park? We've got to do something."

    "Agreed."

"Okay Failureman, just like before. I'm loading in Shotgun."

Failureman stared at the four Cannons looking for signs of attack as his chip loading routines initialized. He went through the sequence as fast as he could.

"Okay, open a default sized buffer, load as much data as will fit, check if the Cannons have moved, now open a larger buffer, link it to the first...," he thought to himself.

Finally the chip loaded and Failureman pointed it at the nearest virus and fired.

"Hey! Don't forget to aim!" Albert exclaimed. "But I think you got him. I've already sent you the Cannon chip."

Failureman overwrote the old data with the Cannon and targeted the next virus. After carefully lining up the shot, he fired.

    1. Dodge
    2. Shotgun CannonDumbA (50 damage + spread 1)
    3. Cannon CannonDumbB (40 damage + knockback)

"Great job Failureman. What was that they dropped?"

"It is 200 zenny and a Guard1 chip."

"Oh! Those are the ones that can bounce back damage right? Those are great. I guess you're still not used to the new running yet, so let's practice some more."

    "Good shots!"

Albert was relieved when he saw where the lamp post was falling.

"You're going to have to get close to use the next one. I'm slotting in RageClaw."

Failureman headed toward the final virus at a steady pace as the data flowed in. Pieces of his arm rotated and slid into place as it slowly rearranged itself into a large bear claw.

"You don't have to be so cautious. The virus can't attack while it's helmet is down."

"I am going the a-at the maximum speed achievable with my walking function. I do not want to fall."

"O-oh... right," stammered Albert, slightly dejected.

Failureman got into position and swung with all his might when the Metool finally popped up.

"Oh, this doesn't look good. But I think you should be alright. I mean, we practiced a bit, right?"

    Failureman nodded.

"We run through your subroutines all the time. Remember I wrote that automated test suite because of advice I read on the net? Just hold still when you fire the cannons. Alright, so... shotgun first."

Failureman looked at the viruses while he tried to remember what kind of attack would be coming. He seemed to recall that it would be white.

    White.

In front of him was white!

    "WATCH OUT!"

Failureman tripped over himself in his surprise and fell to his right as he realized a white wave of energy was headed his way. Landing on his arm, the partially buffered shotgun discharged accidentally and sent random data and pellets flying all over the place.

"It's okay! Try it again, try it again! You've got a cannon!"

Lifting himself to a kneeling position, Failureman pointed his buster at the viruses and fired.

"Alright, are you in one piece?"

    "Everything seems okay."

"Good, why don't you take a few steps?"

Failureman was surprised by how light he felt with such a small change. Of course, the action-reaction timing of his legs also had to be readjusted to accommodate the new position of his feet, but it seems like such a little thing. It was almost like flying compared to before.

Failureman was distracted for just a moment and lurched as he misstep.

"Whoa. Careful." warned Albert. "But that looked pretty good. Let's jog to the park and we can try the swing timing again too."

    "Okay."

    Albert's House
The brilliant flash that followed caused the entire audience of scientists and researchers to avert their eyes. The lone navi had jumped onto the giant's back in the confusion and anchored itself to a ridge on its back. As the monster roared and swung its massive body trying to dislodge its unwelcome passenger, the navi pierced the hard carapace with one arm and began to pour himself into fresh wound.

One of the scientists asked, "What is that navi doing?"

"He's doing what he does best," Albert replied, "He's failing."

The roaring of the monster began to die down as the navi's body appeared to deflate. The shell of bandages that covered it came loose and its shoulder pads dislodged. The navi stared into the camera of the PET and said in a weak voice, "Good- Good-bye Albert and thank you..."

In a matter of moments, all that was left of the navi was a pile of bandages and metal plates. Albert stared at the screen watching the beast breathe its final breaths and finally collapse. Bits of its data broke up slowly starting with its nose and head followed by it's paws and legs. A giant explosion signified the end of the cybeast and of a brave navi.

    ---

Albert was eager to try out an improvement to Failureman's running algorithm he had thought of. It was one of many subsystems that needed attention, but the clanking of Failureman's shoes against the ground while stomp-running through the net would finally get a much needed upgrade.

"If he angles his foot down a few degrees to land on his toes it will be that much more like real running..."

In about forty minutes, Albert finished the patch and let it install.

    "How's that?" Albert asked.

"It-It is kind of hard," replied Failureman as he fought with his balance.

"Here, let's jack in and you'll have more space. You can head to the playground."

Failureman's cannon blast missed the mark but luckily tagged the Voulge clone in the back of the head so it wasn't a complete waste.

"Er, nice shot," said Albert. "I'm sending you shotgun so you can try again. And also rageclaw. You're going to have to get close for that one."

Failureman felt the chip data coming in and nodded. Buffering both of them, he ran as fast as he could towards his target trying to get the element of surprise. Up until now he had be keeping his distance but with no place to hide in the vast green field, he thought he may as well get up close! Three-quarters of the way there, Failureman stopped and leveled his buster. Between the heaving of his chest and tenseness of his muscles it was hard to stay still but he fired the shotgun anyways nearly knocking himself over.

Continuing his chase, Failureman finally caught up with his copy and readied the rageclaw. As he neared, Failureman couldn't slow down his legs and had to brace for impact as he careened toward the purple clone.

    Actions:
    1. Shotgun: xFailureman (50 dmg)

Failureman quickly got over the surprise of coming face to face with himself, again, but matched step for step by his copy he could hardly avoid the oncoming balls of energy much less launch a counter offensive. Failureman tried to recount what he knew.

"I am in a large field. There are four... no, five... no. Four other navis with me. Five counting me. The lady said 'firewall'. Five purple navis appeared. Everyone is chasing each other. The guy chasing me looks just like me. He has the same bandages, the same belt, and the same emblem. But he's purp-"

Failureman stopped a moment to think just as a charged buster shot flew past his arm. Another step and it might have been a direct hit.

Albert spoke overhead, "What are you doing! I sent you a chip!"

    "I'm profiling what I kn-"

"You don't have time to make a profile! Shoot him! Shoot him in the head!"

Noticing the cannon data, Failureman starting running in his zig-zag across the field again but kept his eyes on his copy. Failureman readied his buster and fired a few shots of his own. Satisfied with his aim, he loaded the chip data and let loose with all he had.

    Actions:
    1. Dodge
    2. Buster: xFailureman (8 dmg)

Failureman heard a noise and saw two navis a little ways down the wall. One was waving at him. Briefly wondering whether or not he was allowed to move from his designated spot, he started to walk towards the pair.

"Hi, you're here for the science thing too?"

Failureman took a look around as he materialized in the area. He nearly fell over from the disorientation of seeing nothing in front of him. The horizon stretched out as far as he could see unbroken by trees, buildings, or for that matter, anything. Turning around, Failureman did a double take when he was greeted by his own reflection.

Albert broke the silence, "Hey, are you alright? Just wait a minute, I think we're going to start soon. I'm just waiting for instructions."

    Name:
    Failureman

    Gender:
    Male

    Element:
    Normal

    Type:
    Recover

    Appearance:
Failureman is covered entirely in bandages except for two small cracks on his face where his eyes show through. He wears a bulky piece of armour that covers the top half of his torso and two plates along on his right arm. His navi emblem, an upper case 'F', is situated on his chest just under a cleft in the armour. His left arm looks tubular, ending in a series of long bandage-like fingers. He wears a belt with one strap falling straight down in a disintegrating end and an interlocking hexagonal buckle. Two bandages protrude from his back that flap very gently on their own.

    Personality:
Failureman is mellow and kind of dull; he's not easily excitable but easily amused. He sometimes repeats himself if he gets stuck in a loop. However, he is a very devoted navi and appreciates Albert's constant efforts to upgrade and improve him.

    Custom Weapon:
F-Buster (version 5.0) - A buster that, in addition to shooting normal rounds, is able to reload data in a localized area, restoring its condition.

    Signature Attack:
Source Leak - Failureman removes a bandage from his body and splashes his target with some of his code. When separated from his body and without his other routines to fix the errors, even minute traces of Failureman's source can heavily corrupt whatever program it comes into contact with. However, it is still a part of him and the loss of code would be equivalent to a small amount of damage sustained.

    Effects - 80 damage (80)
    Cost - 60 signature points (60) + Sacrifice 15 (20)
    Cooldown - 2 turns

    Development:
Albert, a programming student at Netopia University, had an assignment one day to create a navi. Instead of using the navi template as a base and modifying it like the other students, Albert felt he could create the navi from scratch. However, he wasn't a very good programmer to begin with and ended up making the navi who would later become known as Failureman. The navi was poorly written: Full of unnecessary code, variables and functions that were never called and loads of malfunctioning subroutines. For some reason though, despite all the errors, the navi still compiled and functioned... Barely.

The professor, upon seeing the navi Albert had created, gave him a failing grade on the assignment. He said it was the worst excuse for a navi he had ever seen and demanded that Albert delete the navi immediately. Albert protested and believed that his navi could truly become great given enough time and effort and went against the professor's wishes. All the while, Failureman was running in the background watching as his creator fought for his right to exist. He was speechless and vowed to always follow Albert no matter what.

Albert brought him home and fixed him up with various patches to keep him from falling apart. Since Albert had been so concerned with only the programming aspect of his navi, he didn't think about naming him so he named him Failureman due to the failing grade he was given. Failureman doesn't see the name as an insult but more as a reminder that despite what he is, he still has a great operator and friend in Albert.
