Fresh air was a rarity in the city - or at least, fresh air as the Netopians knew it. Under the silver sky, buildings loomed in the distance, houses and botique shops making up most of the district known as ACDC; despite the housing bubble and limited land, ACDC Town remained somewhat affordable for the middle-class. College students usually roomed at their respective universities: dorms were far more affordable than renting a house. Knapsack on her back, Rachel stepped outside a modest two-story home and into the street.

Roads were not just for cars these days - cars were restricted in speed in most areas of the city and people freely crossed where they liked. Endless gridlock was a problem of the past, really: why would anybody drive a car when public transportation was so cheap and easy? Right underground, there were subway trains rushing to and fro, rattling everywhere. Not that Rachel could afford a car anyway.

Adeptly navigating menus on her Personal Terminal, she pulled up a map. Nudging the Navi button with her thumb, she glanced around to make sure the street was clear. Directly, yes it was.

"You rang? Oh! Uptown buses are running three minutes late."

Three minutes was enough time to get it started. Opening the Navi menu, she selected to connect to the the network. Online, Avery The Policeman went!

    NECROOOOOOOOOOOOOPOSTING!

I've updated the script for the 15th time. This time, the sidebar remembers if you've turned it on or off (F9 to toggle). It also automagically displays an appropriate-width sidebar depending on the browser window size.

I've nicknamed it ZITS, and it's the best thing that could happen to you.

    Get it today!

    Zetaboards Improvement Script
    Introducing lash's Zetaboards Improvement Script
Zetaboards Improvement Script - ZIS for short - is my all-in-one script to improve your posting experience. It adds a bunch of features to websites including:

    * A Thread-tracking system
    * A word counter
    * A Recent Updates script

and about half-a-dozen other things as well.

It requires Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey to be installed and works with most sites.

    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/12509-lash-s-zetaboards-improvement-script

    Please give it a test!

    - lash

PS: I'm also the developer behind MobileFriendly, a script for forum administrators that makes a forum mobile friendly. I've moved on from running SFRP and am currently working on a Operation Shooting Star-inspired forum.

    Quote (Post 1)

Did you hear about the missing students? There have been a lot, lately. People just like you. They attend school, then, in the middle of the semester, they go missing, never to be seen again. It's creepy.

    The homepage is a room.

It is very plain. The walls are a slight off-white. A desk sits in the center of the room. On the wall, directly across from the entrance, is a corkboard. A closer examination reveals that there are hundreds of pages pinned to the corkboard. A few pictures are pinned in the corners of the corkboard.

There is a window on that same wall, about midway down the room's length. It is large and rectangular. Outside the window is a grassy field. The sky is blue, and clouds float by.

A chalkboard exists to the right of the entrance. It has the word "Wiki" embossed at the top. A few traces of text remain. It appears to have recently been cleared.

    Rachel Brown

    Quote (Operator)

    Name: Rachel Brown
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
    Appearance:
A petite - 5' 3", 130 lbs high school student. Her blonde hair is pulled back in a ponytail. Her gray eyes seem to sparkle in the sunlight. Olive skin speaks of a middle-eastern origin, although her nose hints more closely to a Turkish heritage.

Her classic attire includes a emerald, turtle-necked sweater that looks woollen, sleeves stopping just shy of her wrists, revealing identical, silver bracelets. Black sweat pants and black moccasins complete the outfit- but don't forget about the green beret or the yellow silk scarf.

    Personality:
Friendly, outgoing. Also loud. As the second of three children, Rachel also tries to be the most of everything.

    PET Modifications:
The PET has a Police Badge Emblem. It is mostly blue, with yellow trim. It has been modified to allow inserting to a wrist band or to also be worn by the neck strap. Has a custom screen cover, allowing the user to flip it up and brandish the badge.

    History:
Rachel is an exchange student from Creamland. From the slow, boring sea-side town of Noxford-upon-Upton to the busy metropolis, she's adjusted to city life surprisingly well. Since she can't legally work in Electopia, her godmother and aunt of sorts - Maxine - provides her with a stipend.

    Name: Avery the PoliceMan

    Element: Normal
    Subtype: Team
    Appearance:
    image

Avery the PoliceMan is about 5'11. He is light-skinned, green-eyed, blonde haired, and has a thin nose.

His outfit is a mish-mash of various styles; he has a long piece of black fabric tied around his forehead, trailing behind him. He has a red neckerchief. Below that, he has a blue jacket with yellow reflective trim. His black pants also have reflective trim. His shoes are sneakers.

His navi mark is worn on his shoulder in the form of a unit badge.

    Personality:
As the blue member of the Everyday Hero Squad, PoliceMan is cool, collected, and co-operative in approaching problems. He has little problem taking orders, and even less a problem giving them. PoliceMan considers himself the first line of defence in the eternal war against chaos.

    History:
Avery the PoliceMan is part of the Everyday Hero Squad user test. Tammel Incorpated decided to get into the digital market. How? By including a navi emblem in every package. Each and every character will come with one... sometime next year.

Avery the PoliceMan was raffled off on a popular gaming blog as part of an advertising promotion by Tammel. The winner? Maxine Power, a 55-year old IT wonk from Creamland. From there, Maxine gave Avery to her goddaughter, but not before making a few modifications.

So far, Avery the PoliceMan and Rachel have been together for a month.

    Custom Weapon: 9mm Pistol
His custom buster is in the form of a matte-black pistol.

    Signature Attack 1: FlakJack
HardBody is activated, halving the damage he takes that round. 40pts. 1CD.

    Signature Attack 2: Inject+
With a "detonator gesture" (Step 1: form Thumbs Up. Step 2: bring thumb down to fist), Avery the PoliceMan can activate a recovery program. 20pts. 1CD. Applies 15 pts of Healing to user.

I failed Math 12 three times, but I think my math's solid right now.

    66*.75=49.5

Since the maximum amount of Sig Points I can apply to that attack is 20, I have to apply a debuff to supply the additional 30pts. This brings my Sig Points in total to the cap of 90.

    [open] Dungeon Crawl
It had started as a pub crawl, and ended here, an impromptu gaming expo in the middle of "the most Authentic British Pub".
The crowd had thinned down considerably from when they started - most headed back to their flat, absolutely blotto. There was just a handful, a few who'd either held back, or had a tolerance as big as Blighty.

Landon was next to Yun Sung, a middle-age compsci prof from Dentech U. Sitting on a couch, a bottle in one hand, controller in another, four geeks were staring wide-eyed at the massive 80" screen. More correctly, they were staring at IT, a stone-scaled dragon, as large as a city bus and just as ugly.

They'd been stuck at this particular place for the past hour, respawning, getting killed, passing the controller on, and knocking back another bottle.

Landon was on his second bottle of the night, a Boors Light, the least-alcoholic thing he could find on the menu.

Yun mumbled something about beer being better back in Korea./

Landon was on a stool beside the couch, Yun preferring to sit on a swiped leather cushion.

IT wiped out the band of four again.

This time, it seemed, they'd had enough. Two neckbeards stood up, dropping their controllers in perfect synchronicity.

Landon looked around. Did anybody want to join in?

    [public] Landon's Homepage
Landon's homepage hasn't changed in forty years. Through the IPv6 move, HTTP 2.1, TLS 4.0, HTML 5.5, and PHP 7 upgrades, the homepage remained static.

It's a white cube, 20 feet across in any dimension. And it's the interior, plane, unadorned, perfectly lit, but depth-perception screwing.

    Very minimalist.

The walls, of course, can be used as displays, or as interactive touchscreens. On a specific voice command, a terminal emerges from the center of the room, allowing complete customization. Want to turn it into a dome? Into an interactive Earth Traverser? Anything and everything imaginable can be done in this space.

    Nothing is permanent, here.

    Just like real life.

"This Old Bastard Still Has It"
    Name:Landon McCoy
    Age: 68
    Gender:Male
    Appearance:
A man, appearing to be in his early fifties. 5'5" tall, weighs 150lbs.

His green eyes sparkle at you. His hair is white, parted evenly in the centre, each side equally long, extending from centre to ears. His face is clean shaven, save for his small beard. The beard itself extends from one side of his square jaw to the other.

He typically is dressed in a black, vest sweater. Beneath, a black bowtie, and a white short-sleeved formal shirt. Black slacks allow him to easily blend into the suits-crowd, and yet stand out.

He wears silver bracers, black-half gloves for typing.

    Personality:
Landon is a happy-go-lucky type. He seems to be searching for an apprentice, somebody to pass knowledge on. He looks forward to retirement. His sense of humour has been twisted by years in the IT industry.

    PET Modifications:
His PET is black, with white trim. It seems to be quite old, and has a few scuffs on its edges.

The Nav With No Name / "Nav"

    Name:The Nav With No Name
    Gender:Male
    Element: Normal/Null
    Subtype: Cursor
    Appearance:
Epic image by hub's friend, high res edition

Framed against the starry night sky, frozen on the sand dune, is the enigmatic man of mystery: The Nav With No Name.

At first glance, you notice his brown cowboy hat, a cross between a fedora and a sombrero. The next thing you notice is his brown shawl. Below the shawl, black pants that melt into his boots.

As you get closer, you'll make out his face. He appears to be in his early thirties, but his face tells of hard grit. His impressive mane appears not to have been shaved in months. A lit cigar is in his mouth, a red flame against the black sky.

He smiles, revealing impossibly perfect teeth.

And then his cloak flies, like a bat, behind him.

He's wearing a brown vest, and a blue denim shirt. He has a brown belt, and two silver guns holstered. In the blink of an eye, a gun is in his hands.

    You see light.

    You are dead.

A wolf howls as gun-lightning breaks the silence.
    Personality:
The strong, silent type. The Nav With No Name is loyal to two people: Landon, and himself. With a devil-may-care attitude, a dark sense of humor, and a habit of cigar-smoking, he's the dude little navis want to be.

    Custom Weapon: Peacespeaker
The Peacespeaker. A black sixgun, a favorite among law and rogues alike. Packing a heavy punch, this gun could stop a charging warhorse.
    Signature Attack: Sawed-Off Shotgun
A small, silver-barreled shotgun, with most of the barrel sawn completely off. Compact, it packs a powerful punch, but isn't so easy to reload...
    EDIT:
    Deals 2x30 damage (60 Pts)
    2 turns of CD
